Whistleblowing
The term whistleblowing is used to describe a process whereby people operating inside or outside an organization notify specific individuals or bodies within that organization about possibly fraudulent, criminal, illicit or irregular behaviour by other parties, which they have learned about through work-related activities.
In accordance with Italian Law no. 179 of 30 November 2017 and Italian Legislative Decree 24/2023 (implementing Directive (EU) 2019/1937), Bric’s Industria Valigeria Fine Spa has put in place a whistleblowing process and provided a platform so that reports about the following can be made and managed:
- Behaviour that is thought or known to be illicit and is deemed significant in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001.
- Breaches that are thought or known to have been made of the Organization and Management Models (pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree no. 231/2001) and/or the Ethical Code adopted by the companies and associations in the group.
- Breaches of EU regulations.
This system is managed through an external digital platform. It ensures that the identities of whistleblowers and the information contained in their reports remain confidential, while also protecting whistleblowers from any retaliation or discrimination by employers.
